to be more than the first. 03:48.800 --> 03:50.440 Now in Revelation chapters 2 and 3 03:50.440 --> 03:53.360 you're going to have seven different churches listed 03:53.360 --> 03:55.680 and of those have downs 04:03.480 --> 04:05.120 you have problems that you have to deal with 04:05.120 --> 04:06.920 and of these seven churches 04:07.450 --> 04:09.120 five of them have at least one issue 04:09.120 --> 04:11.040 but it's important to understand 04:11.040 --> 04:13.240 that all of these seven churches 04:13.240 --> 04:15.820 are bona fide and real churches 04:15.820 --> 04:18.780 that God has a stamp of approval on. 04:19.320 --> 04:21.680 So realize if we were to bring this to the modern day 04:22.080 --> 04:24.320 the church in Thyatira would not be 04:24.320 --> 04:25.980 the Pentecostal church down the street. 04:26.440 --> 04:28.080 It would not be the Mormons. 04:28.500 --> 04:30.080 It would not be the Catholics. 04:30.640 --> 04:33.320 You'd be looking at a fundamental Baptist 04:33.320 --> 04:34.460 soul winning church. 04:34.900 --> 04:37.520 You know a church like faithful word Baptist church 04:37.520 --> 04:38.880 or a like minded church 04:38.880 --> 04:40.860 that is what you would be looking at. 04:40.860 --> 04:42.680 Now it's important to understand this 04:42.680 --> 04:44.220 because when you read verse 20 04:44.820 --> 04:45.740 it's kind of crazy. 04:46.220 --> 04:49.260 It says not withstanding I have a few things against thee 04:49.720 --> 04:52.180 because thou sufferest or allowest 04:52.180 --> 04:53.520 that woman Jezebel 04:53.520 --> 04:55.880 which calleth herself a prophetess 04:55.880 --> 04:57.900 to teach and to seduce my servants 04:57.900 --> 04:59.780 to commit fornication 04:59.780 --> 05:02.380 and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 05:03.080 --> 05:03.940 Now when you're reading that 05:03.940 --> 05:06.400 are those small sins or big sins? 05:07.240 --> 05:08.580 They're pretty big sins. 05:08.580 --> 05:10.600 And see a lot of people have this mindset 05:10.600 --> 05:12.640 well you know what if you're right with God 05:12.640 --> 05:13.740 you're never going to have any problems. 05:13.960 --> 05:14.940 No, what churches do 05:14.940 --> 05:17.600 many churches will cover their problems 05:17.600 --> 05:19.880 and just not reveal them 05:20.340 --> 05:22.380 rather than being open and is Jezebel. 06:26.200 --> 06:27.860 Now of course you see the name Jezebel 06:27.860 --> 06:29.520 and the first thing that comes to your mind 06:29.520 --> 06:31.240 is Jezebel from the Old Testament. 06:31.240 --> 06:34.380 I would say the most evil and wicked woman 06:34.380 --> 06:37.080 in the entire Bible is Jezebel. 06:37.680 --> 06:40.420 And so when it comes to this person named Jezebel 06:40.420 --> 06:41.880 there's kind of two ways to look at this. 06:42.420 --> 06:44.860 Either the parents didn't really care 06:44.860 --> 06:46.900 that this Jezebel is this wicked person 06:46.900 --> 06:47.700 from the Old Testament 06:48.300 --> 06:50.660 or the Bible is just kind of using it 06:50.660 --> 06:51.900 to describe her. 06:52.200 --> 06:53.720 Kind of like he's a Judas 06:54.380 --> 06:56.080 or she's a Jezebel. 06:57.500 --> 06:59.860 Either way I want you to realize 06:59.860 --> 07:03.480 the Bible is connecting the Old Testament Jezebel 07:03.480 --> 07:05.820 with the New Testament Jezebel. 07:06.180 --> 07:07.300 And I want to prove that to you further. 07:07.440 --> 07:08.840 Notice what it says here in verse 20. 07:09.720 --> 07:10.060 It says, 07:10.700 --> 07:12.660 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee 07:12.660 --> 07:15.060 because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel 07:15.060 --> 07:17.120 which calleth herself a prophetess your Bible to 2 Kings chapter 9. 07:34.800 --> 07:35.980 2 Kings chapter 9. 07:47.070 --> 07:48.510 And I think on Wednesday nights 07:48.510 --> 07:50.210 you just went through 2 Kings chapter 9 07:50.210 --> 07:52.570 the destruction and demise of Jezebel. 07:53.030 --> 07:55.370 And here's what it says about Jezebel here 07:55.370 --> 07:58.190 in 2 Kings chapter 9 verse number 22. 08:00.030 --> 08:02.510 And it came to pass when Joram saw Jehu 08:02.510 --> 08:03.110 that he said, 08:03.250 --> 08:04.330 Is it peace, Jehu? 08:04.650 --> 08:05.210 And answered, 08:05.210 --> 08:08.970 What peace so long as the hordoms of thy mother Jezebel 08:08.970 --> 08:11.410 and her witchcrafts are so many? 08:12.370 --> 08:13.870 Now what it said in the New Testament was 08:14.770 --> 08:17.750 fornication and eating things sacrificed unto idols. 08:18.550 --> 08:19.530 Here in the Old Testament, 08:19.830 --> 08:21.770 different woman, different Jezebel 08:21.770 --> 08:22.850 and it says, 08:23.910 --> 08:26.110 Hordoms and Witchcrafts. 08:26.590 --> 08:28.310 Now obviously you know there's a literal sense 08:28.310 --> 08:29.110 of being a whore 08:29.110 --> 08:30.730 and there's a symbolic sense 08:30.730 --> 08:33.170 of just basically cheating on the true God 08:33.170 --> 08:35.470 but when you're thinking of hordoms 08:35.470 --> 08:37.690 you're thinking of sexual sin, right? 08:38.270 --> 08:39.470 Now remember it said in the New Testament 08:40.010 --> 08:40.490 fornication. 08:41.310 --> 08:44.310 Fornication and hordoms line up pretty well, don't witchcraft. 08:53.050 --> 08:54.570 Now at first glance you might say 08:54.570 --> 08:55.410 well what's the connection 08:55.410 --> 08:57.590 between idolatry and witchcraft? 08:58.110 --> 08:59.290 And what I would say to you is 08:59.290 --> 09:00.090 you're only saying that 09:00.090 --> 09:02.590 because in America there's not a lot of idolatry. 09:03.070 --> 09:04.990 Because I'm telling you there are people here 09:04.990 --> 09:05.970 that are from the Philippines. 09:06.430 --> 09:08.050 There are people here from India 09:08.050 --> 09:10.250 and there is certainly sorcery The word witchcraft or witchcrafts 09:19.030 --> 09:21.210 appears in six different verses 09:21.210 --> 09:22.790 in our King James Bible. 09:23.230 --> 09:25.370 Now go in your Bible to 1 Samuel 15. 09:26.470 --> 09:27.750 1 Samuel 15. 09:30.150 --> 09:32.170 What I'm trying to do to you right now 09:32.170 --> 09:34.490 is just to show you there is a connection 09:34.490 --> 09:35.690 the Bible
