They think that they're old-fashioned. They think they're just based on the Bible 00:26.170 --> 00:30.330 And they have just accepted these very modern 00:30.990 --> 00:31.590 unbiblical 00:31.590 --> 00:38.570 Feminist ideas just because they're so prevalent and so popular in our society that they're just taken for granted 00:39.510 --> 00:45.250 Whereas the Bible doesn't change and so it doesn't matter what year it is 00:45.250 --> 00:52.930 It doesn't matter how many centuries go by the Bible keeps on saying the same thing and as society drifts further and further from the 00:52.930 --> 00:56.650 Biblical standard you end up having people think that you're crazy 00:56.650 --> 01:02.530 When you get up and just preach what the Bible says preach what everybody used to believe 01:02.530 --> 01:07.590 Okay, now we talked about the first wave of feminism and it went from 01:08.370 --> 01:09.130 1848 to 01:09.650 --> 01:16.970 1920 and I'm not going to repreach that sermon but it had to do with women getting the right to vote and 01:16.970 --> 01:18.570 sort of retaining their 01:18.570 --> 01:25.210 Autonomy and independence after they got married because you know before that legally the husband's the boss 01:25.210 --> 01:26.530 Well, I got news for you 01:26.530 --> 01:31.110 That's what the Bible says the Bible says the husband is the head of the wife 01:31.110 --> 01:35.170 Even as Christ is the head of the church and as the savior of the body 01:35.170 --> 01:38.030 Therefore as the church is subject to Christ 01:38.030 --> 01:44.090 You know so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything and so because our society is based on 01:44.090 --> 01:45.650 Christian morality 01:46.350 --> 01:51.450 Legally, that's the way it was is that the husband is considered the boss the head of the household 01:51.450 --> 01:56.510 so the first wave of feminism had to do with basically getting rid of that and 01:56.510 --> 02:02.990 Getting it to where women can vote and women have their own autonomy and their own independence after they're married 02:02.990 --> 02:08.870 They have the right to divorce their husbands and you know get high-level jobs 02:08.870 --> 02:14.650 And those are the things that they were pushing for and this culminated in 1920 with the passing of what is it? 02:14.650 --> 02:20.330 The 19th amendment where they received the right to vote and as I said before 02:20.330 --> 02:26.010 You know your independent fundamentalist Baptist and evangelical Christians pretty much accept like 02:26.010 --> 02:32.110 80-90% of the first wave of feminism as evidenced by the fact that in their church business meetings 02:32.110 --> 02:36.690 They have women voting and often making key decisions about running the church 02:36.690 --> 02:41.330 Which makes absolutely no sense based on what the Bible says. I don't want to repreach that sermon 02:41.330 --> 02:44.910 But tonight we're gonna get into the second wave of feminism 02:44.910 --> 02:53.190 Which again, I would say 80 to 90 percent of it is embraced totally by your old-fashioned independent fundamental Baptist 02:54.050 --> 03:00.510 Not here because we don't care because we're gonna go by what the Bible says and nuts to them and send me all the 03:00.510 --> 03:05.550 voicemails you want haters because I give voicemails every single day in fact for the last few weeks 03:05.550 --> 03:12.430 I've gotten a voicemail every single day of someone saying I'm calling the police because of what I heard you preach 03:12.930 --> 03:15.710 And I'm thinking to myself. That's not how America works 03:15.710 --> 03:20.930 You can't just hear a sermon and you're preaching that you don't like and call the police 03:20.930 --> 03:25.390 And I'm sure they are calling the police, but apparently the police have put this on the back burner 03:25.390 --> 03:30.310 Okay, because of the fact that we have the first amendment. I can say whatever I want 03:30.310 --> 03:35.530 I can preach the Bible and I'm not even saying anything that all of America wouldn't have agreed with 03:35.550 --> 03:36.670 100 years ago anyway 03:37.730 --> 03:43.430 So the second wave of feminism is typically classified from like 03:44.100 --> 03:46.230 1960 to the early 03:46.870 --> 03:50.890 1980s, so that's the period of the second wave feminism and it dealt with 03:51.430 --> 03:54.440 different struggles than the first wave of feminism and 03:54.950 --> 04:01.290 The first thing that was a huge part of second wave feminism was the idea of birth control 04:01.290 --> 04:05.290 Okay, now again, this is something that people just take for granted in 04:05.290 --> 04:09.390 2026 America like well, of course, you're gonna be on birth control 04:09.390 --> 04:14.590 Of course churches and Christians and we're all gonna promote birth control, right? 04:14.850 --> 04:18.530 I mean come on and yet that is not the way it was in America 04:18.530 --> 04:22.470 A lot of people don't realize that birth control was literally illegal 04:23.430 --> 04:26.550 all of the devices and implements even 04:26.550 --> 04:34.130 Information about it was illegal to send in the mail because it was put in the same category as like mailing pornography 04:34.130 --> 04:39.850 Because it was considered obscene material. Okay, but anyway, let's see what the Bible says about this 04:39.850 --> 04:46.370 What does the Bible teach about this subject of birth control? Well, you're there in Genesis chapter? 04:46.890 --> 04:54.610 38 if you would flip back to Genesis chapter number three and look don't get offended at the sermon tonight because you should go into this with 04:54.610 --> 04:57.410 An open mind for what the Bible says 04:57.410 --> 05:04.890 Right and ask God to show you from the scriptures what the truth is because the Bible says if any of you lacks wisdom 05:04.890 --> 05:07.130 Let him ask of God they give it to all men 05:07.650 --> 05:12.710 Liberally and it's not and it shall be given him God wants us to understand the truth 05:12.710 --> 05:14.410 He wants us to understand the Bible 05:14.410 --> 05:17.730 Open now mine eyes that I may behold 05:17.730 --> 05:22.950 Wondrous things out of thy law is the prayer of the psalmist so look at Genesis chapter 3 05:22.950 --> 05:29.430 Of course, there's a famous verse in Genesis 128 where God blessed them and said be fruitful and multiply and 05:30.350 --> 05:34.650 Replenish the earth now. Why does it say replenish the earth? 05:35.290 --> 05:37.030 They're the first man and woman 05:37.030 --> 05:43.370 So how are they replenishing because when we think of replenish we're thinking of like a refill, right? 05:44.490 --> 05:51.070 So the idea here though is that the reason why it says replenish is because this is a continual process 05:51.070 --> 05:58.090 So he's saying be fruitful multiply and replenish the earth because human beings are going to live and they're going to die 05:58.090 --> 06:03.810 And they have to be replaced and so there's a replenishment that is constantly going on 06:03.810 --> 06:08.550 Where one generation passes away and another generation come at this the Bible says 06:08.550 --> 06:13.310 So he says to them in Genesis one be fruitful multiply look at Genesis 3 16 06:13.310 --> 06:16.310 This is after the scene in the Garden of Eden 06:16.310 --> 06:23.990 Where the woman has eaten the forbidden fruit and then she gave it to her husband and then he ate the forbidden fruit and they've sinned and 06:23.990 --> 06:30.510 Ruined everything and so God is explaining the the consequences of the sin and it says in verse 16 under the woman 06:30.510 --> 06:33.190 He said I will greatly 06:34.210 --> 06:36.470 multiply thy sorrow and 06:37.030 --> 06:42.590 Thy conception now look here's the truth is that life is not a bed of roses 06:43.230 --> 06:48.730 Life is not easy for either the man or the woman because he talks to the man 06:48.730 --> 06:53.790 And he says man you're gonna work by the sweat of your face all the days of your life 06:53.790 --> 07:01.310 And you're gonna go back into the ground that you came from and so the man in this world has to work hard 07:01.310 --> 07:04.950 You know I guarantee you that there are times that you men don't want to go to work 07:04.950 --> 07:09.330 You don't necessarily love your job every single day sometimes it's a drag 07:09.330 --> 07:12.470 But you go out there and you push through you grind it out 07:12.470 --> 07:17.150 You work hard so that you can put food on the table for your family 07:17.150 --> 07:22.290 And you work by the sweat of your face all the days of your life as the Bible says well 07:22.290 --> 07:28.270 He says to the woman I will multiply your sorrow and your conception now 07:28.270 --> 07:31.290 What does conception mean conception is when a woman becomes? 07:31.830 --> 07:34.950 Pregnant so he's saying you are going to become pregnant 07:34.950 --> 07:40.050 More often than you would have become pregnant without this being in place 07:40.050 --> 07:46.950 He says I'm going to multiply right if you multiply the number two. Oh now we have four. Hey, let's multiply two now 07:46.950 --> 07:51.250 We have 12. Okay. He's saying your conception is at a certain rate 07:51.250 --> 07:53.650 biologically I'm going to multiply 07:54.190 --> 07:57.150 your sorrow and your conception in 07:58.450 --> 08:06.670 Sorrow thou shalt bring forth children and thy desire shall be to thy husband and he shall rule over thee 08:06.670 --> 08:13.030 Look, this is the Bible. This is Genesis chapter 3. This is basic stuff 08:13.030 --> 08:19.830 This is like Bible 101 one of the most rudimentary chapters of the Bible laying down some basic foundations 08:19.830 --> 08:22.610 And the Bible saying look this is life 08:23.630 --> 08:31.350 Men have to work hard to put food on the table, and you know what women have to do women have to bear children 08:31.350 --> 08:37.290 And it's not always fun. It's painful giving birth is painful raising children 08:37.290 --> 08:38.010 It's hard work 08:38.010 --> 08:43.730 You're up in the middle of the night and you're dealing with all kinds of the things that go along with child-rearing now 08:43.730 --> 08:48.930 Our society just looks at this and just says well child-rearing is hard, so I'm just not going to do it 08:50.090 --> 08:53.590 You know, I'm just gonna just use birth control and just skip this 08:53.590 --> 09:02.150 But apparently this is something that God has prescribed for men and women and really the same attitude would be like 09:02.150 --> 09:07.950 Well, I don't want to work. I'm a man, but I just don't want to get a job. I don't want to do any productive work 09:07.950 --> 09:13.730 Why do we have to work anyway? Can't the government just give me a basic income to just stay home and sit on my 09:13.730 --> 09:18.070 But you know, it's kind of the same mentality of a woman just saying well, I'm just not gonna reproduce 09:18.070 --> 09:24.570 I'm just not gonna have children. But this is what God has prescribed for mankind. He says man, you're gonna work 09:25.230 --> 09:30.950 Woman, you're gonna bear children and is it gonna be few? Well, he says I'm gonna multiply it 09:30.950 --> 09:37.850 I'm gonna multiply your conception. Now look obviously God gives different numbers of children to different people 09:37.850 --> 09:42.370 Not everyone is gonna have a whole bunch of kids because some women 09:42.370 --> 09:46.550 They're just gonna have one kid or two kids and it's not because they're using birth control 09:46.550 --> 09:52.550 It's just because they're just not that fertile or their husband is just not that fertile or whatever 09:52.550 --> 09:58.690 And so it's not necessarily a bad thing if you only have one child or two 09:58.690 --> 10:00.170 If that's what God gave you 10:00.170 --> 10:05.750 Because for example, we see great men and women of God in the Bible who had very few children 10:05.750 --> 10:12.730 Because a lot of times in Genesis women are just not getting pregnant and they're praying and they're begging God to give them a 10:12.730 --> 10:19.070 Child and you see women like Rebecca and you see women like Rachel and they're struggling to get pregnant 10:19.070 --> 10:22.670 Obviously, Sarah is the big one famous one and then later in the Bible 10:22.670 --> 10:27.410 You have that same theme in the book of Samuel with Hannah really wanting to have a child 10:27.410 --> 10:32.390 She's praying and begging God and so these women, you know, Rebecca ends up having two kids 10:32.390 --> 10:38.390 You know, Sarah ends up having one kid, right? Rachel ends up having two kids 10:38.390 --> 10:44.110 They're not necessarily having a ton of kids other people in the Bible are having 10 15 20 kids 10:44.110 --> 10:49.610 It's just it's whatever God gives you because here's the thing God is the one who opens and closes the womb 10:50.250 --> 10:52.590 according to scripture so 10:52.590 --> 10:54.710 we have Genesis 3 16 and 10:55.630 --> 11:00.530 Right away that desire shall be to thy husband and he shall rule over thee 11:00.530 --> 11:05.250 Well, that flies in the face of first wave feminism as well, doesn't it? 11:06.250 --> 11:11.470 But as we go through Genesis, we're going to see this over and over again go to Genesis chapter 11:12.290 --> 11:15.090 35 if you would and while you're turning there 11:15.090 --> 11:17.190 Genesis 9 verse 1 11:17.190 --> 11:23.290 God tells Noah be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth in Genesis 24 60 11:23.290 --> 11:29.090 It says they blessed Rebecca and said and her thou art our sister be thou the mother of 11:29.090 --> 11:37.130 Thousands of millions now thousands of millions is the largest number in the Bible and they call them billions actually 11:37.730 --> 11:40.650 thousands of millions so two billion 11:41.210 --> 11:48.070 So when they're blessing her they're saying be thou the mother of thousands of millions two billion. That's incredible 11:48.770 --> 11:50.630 imagine writing that in a 11:50.630 --> 11:57.610 You know baby shower gift card or something like that right at the maternity shower, but Genesis 35 verse 11 11:57.610 --> 12:00.950 God said unto him speaking to Jacob. I am God Almighty 12:01.570 --> 12:03.530 be fruitful and 12:03.530 --> 12:09.690 Multiply a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee and kings shall come out of thine ones 12:09.690 --> 12:15.810 So it's not just Adam who's told to be fruitful multiply. It's not just Noah. It's also Jacob 12:16.470 --> 12:21.290 It's God's people in general look if you would at Exodus chapter number one and 12:22.370 --> 12:27.390 In Exodus chapter number one if you remember the children of Israel have gone down into Egypt 12:28.050 --> 12:32.570 And they went there because there was a famine in the land of Canaan and when they went down there 12:32.570 --> 12:41.030 They went down there as 70 people 70 souls went down there. Well over time those 70 people end up just multiplying 12:41.670 --> 12:42.230 tremendously 12:42.890 --> 12:48.870 To the point where this is what the Egyptians are saying about them in Exodus chapter 1 verse 9 12:48.870 --> 12:56.550 He said unto his people behold the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we 12:56.550 --> 13:06.090 Now this is the most powerful nation on the earth at that time the Egyptians and the Egyptians have the Israelites dwelling among them 13:06.630 --> 13:10.330 Started out as a really small crew, but they're just multiplying like crazy 13:10.330 --> 13:14.030 Number one because God told them to be fruitful and multiply number two 13:14.030 --> 13:17.390 God's blessing them and they're being fruitful and they're multiplying and 13:18.250 --> 13:24.490 So the Egyptians are looking at them saying wow the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier 13:24.490 --> 13:30.870 Than we and they start getting nervous that maybe they're gonna take over and so it says in verse 10 13:30.870 --> 13:33.490 Come on, let us deal wisely with them 13:33.490 --> 13:38.090 Lest they multiply and it come to pass that when they're fall without any war 13:38.090 --> 13:42.990 They join also under our enemies and fight against us and so get them up out of land 13:42.990 --> 13:47.850 And you know what this world today wants to deal wisely with us Christians, too, don't they? 13:48.410 --> 13:49.370 They're like come on 13:49.370 --> 13:53.010 Let's deal wisely with these Christians because there there's too many of them 13:53.010 --> 13:58.970 So basically society has brainwashed Christian people not to reproduce 13:58.970 --> 14:05.810 And that is why the birth rates in Christian countries are just down in the toilet 14:05.810 --> 14:12.670 Just down the tubes to the point where in these European countries the birth rates are so low 14:12.670 --> 14:13.930 It's not even replacement 14:13.930 --> 14:20.970 It's not even replenishment rates where the birth rate in certain places or the fertility rate will be less than one 14:21.510 --> 14:24.710 Obviously for replacement you'd need it to be higher than two 14:24.710 --> 14:31.510 Because you know to replace two parents you'd have to have two kids and that's assuming everybody survives and reproduces and so forth 14:31.510 --> 14:35.990 And so really you need a little more than two of a fertility rate just to maintain 14:35.990 --> 14:41.090 And you have these European countries where the birth rate the fertility rate is below 14:41.090 --> 14:48.790 One of x 0.8 0.9 and you know who's even probably really driving the birth rate in these countries or all the Muslim immigrants 14:49.350 --> 14:52.990 So you have a bunch of Muslims coming in and reproducing like crazy 14:52.990 --> 14:59.630 Whereas the actual Christian European citizens are not reproducing hardly at all 14:59.630 --> 15:06.650 Maybe they're having one kid. Maybe they're having two kids and this is the devil's agenda 15:06.650 --> 15:09.950 Saying hey, let's deal wisely with them 15:09.950 --> 15:15.650 Let's tell them to be smart and be wise and to do family planning 15:15.650 --> 15:23.090 You know instead of just being fruitful multiplying having a bunch of kids having a big family leave it up to God, etc 15:25.410 --> 15:30.590 Look what he says in Deuteronomy chapter 1 flip over to Deuteronomy chapter 1 you see 70 people 15:31.130 --> 15:34.890 literally became millions of people over the course of 15:36.050 --> 15:42.750 400 years in Egypt because when they leave Egypt they count the men of war and the men of war number 15:42.750 --> 15:48.170 600,000 well if the men of war are 600,000 what about all the women? What about all the children? 15:48.550 --> 15:51.490 We're talking about two three million people at least okay? 15:52.630 --> 15:55.330 so remember what was said at 15:55.890 --> 16:01.810 The Going Away Party for Rebecca. Hey be thou the mother of thousands of millions two billion minimum 16:02.450 --> 16:04.930 You know, it's funny because God says something similar 16:04.930 --> 16:09.850 You know through Moses inspired by the Holy Ghost in Deuteronomy 111 16:09.850 --> 16:17.710 It says the Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as you are and bless you as he has promised you 16:17.710 --> 16:24.250 There's already a couple million people and he's saying again thousand times as many two billion sounds great 16:25.670 --> 16:26.270 and 16:26.270 --> 16:27.830 So how did they? 16:28.450 --> 16:33.170 Go from 70 people to millions of people and outgrow the Egyptians 16:33.170 --> 16:38.010 Well history tells us and obviously you know we always take these things with a grain of salt 16:38.010 --> 16:42.510 But there is some archaeology to back this up that you know that birth control 16:42.510 --> 16:50.150 Was going on in Egypt that that many even secular textbooks will point to Egypt as the origin of birth control 16:50.150 --> 16:57.330 And Egypt obviously represents worldliness and you know going down into Egypt. It's it's usually not a 16:57.870 --> 16:59.290 blessed thing in the Bible 17:00.050 --> 17:02.030 So let's go to Genesis 38 17:02.030 --> 17:03.830 This is the only 17:03.830 --> 17:12.350 Instance of someone actually using birth control in the entire Bible right because the Bible isn't a book about people using birth control 17:12.350 --> 17:16.110 Or explain because again, this is kind of a modern phenomenon 17:16.110 --> 17:19.550 Where birth control is a big thing now. There's nothing new under the Sun 17:19.550 --> 17:22.310 so yeah, you have people killing their children and 17:22.910 --> 17:29.250 Aborting their babies in the Bible and you have them passing their children through the fire to Molek and you know 17:29.250 --> 17:29.910 practicing and 17:29.910 --> 17:35.970 Fantasized and things like that obviously like I said history tells us that it was going on in Egypt thousands of years ago 17:35.970 --> 17:37.510 There's nothing new under the Sun 17:37.510 --> 17:41.710 But as far as the biblical text as you're reading the Bible stories 17:42.230 --> 17:46.470 What you find is that people want to have kids they want to reproduce 17:46.470 --> 17:50.030 Women are praying that they would have kids and 17:50.030 --> 17:54.590 Society looks on it as a good thing when people are having children and having a lot of children 17:54.590 --> 17:57.970 So the Bible doesn't talk much about birth control, okay 17:57.970 --> 18:02.370 But this is the only Bible story of someone actually 18:02.370 --> 18:09.010 Practicing birth control and it says in Genesis chapter 38 verse 8 and we read the whole chapter before the service 18:09.010 --> 18:11.910 It says and Judah said unto Onan 18:11.910 --> 18:16.850 Go in unto thy brother's wife and marry her and raise up seed to thy brother 18:16.850 --> 18:20.370 So this this guy has died and Judah is telling him 18:20.370 --> 18:26.290 Hey, your brother is dead and his wife so widow. So why don't you marry? 18:27.230 --> 18:32.790 your brother's widow now and then that way you can raise up seed unto your brother, you know 18:32.790 --> 18:35.270 He can carry on your brother's family name and whatever 18:36.570 --> 18:37.010 and 18:37.010 --> 18:40.810 So onan, you know, he says okay onan marries the girl 18:41.490 --> 18:47.890 But then he decides he's gonna use birth control says in verse number nine and onan knew that the seed should not be his 18:47.890 --> 18:53.450 And it came to pass that he went in unto his brother's wife that he spilled it on the ground 18:54.110 --> 18:59.770 Lest he should give seed to his brother and the thing which he did displeased the Lord 19:00.290 --> 19:04.430 Wherefore he slew him also now look God just kills this guy 19:04.430 --> 19:08.630 God looks down from heaven and sees what he did and he kills him 19:08.630 --> 19:13.610 Now I'm not gonna explain this in detail if you're an adult in here 19:13.610 --> 19:17.710 You know what the story just said when it says that he spilled it on the ground 19:17.710 --> 19:21.170 I'm not gonna be any more graphic than what the Bible is being if you know 19:21.710 --> 19:25.930 If you're an adult see me after the service and I'll explain it to you if you don't know what's going on here 19:25.930 --> 19:31.930 I don't want to go into detail, but the idea here is that he is practicing birth control 19:31.930 --> 19:36.430 You know, we'd probably call this well, I don't even want to say it, but you know 19:37.330 --> 19:42.870 This would be classified similar to like a barrier method, but it would actually be called something else 19:42.870 --> 19:44.730 You know, but the point is 19:45.330 --> 19:49.330 That this guy gets punished by God for doing this and it's the only instance 19:49.330 --> 19:54.150 And he's literally killed for it. Now a lot of people would explain this away 19:54.150 --> 19:59.330 Oh, just kidding the old IFP will actually just never read this chapter and never preach about it for any reason 19:59.330 --> 20:02.770 That's the true story. I mean, I remember I had a friend who was going to a church 20:02.770 --> 20:05.430 They're preaching through the entire book of Genesis verse by verse 20:05.430 --> 20:12.130 They got to chapter 38 and they literally said well, we're gonna skip chapter 38 because we don't want to interrupt the story with Joseph 20:12.890 --> 20:16.110 But we're gonna come back to it and you know what you're not gonna believe this 20:16.110 --> 20:18.950 They just never got around to it. They just never got back to it 20:18.950 --> 20:25.210 And so they typically just avoid this chapter like the plague because it doesn't fit with their feminist 20:25.790 --> 20:30.610 Ideology their second wave feminism mentality of pushing birth control 20:30.610 --> 20:32.190 So they typically skip the story 20:32.190 --> 20:37.290 But if they do interact with the story typically what they're gonna say is something along the lines of well 20:37.290 --> 20:41.410 He wasn't being punished for using birth control. It's only because he'd be in selfish 20:41.970 --> 20:48.690 He's doing it for a selfish reason. He's kind of sticking it to his brother. It's an unloving thing to do 20:48.690 --> 20:55.330 Well, what if I told you that everybody's got a selfish reason for using birth control like hey 20:55.330 --> 21:03.470 I want to have a bigger house bigger cars make more money easy life more freedom not have to work hard look 21:04.050 --> 21:06.990 We as human beings we're talking about this before the service, you know 21:06.990 --> 21:13.010 We're kind of just by nature lazy creatures myself included and our brains and our bodies 21:13.010 --> 21:17.890 We want to do the least amount of work possible. We want to take the path of least resistance, right? 21:18.250 --> 21:25.630 I mean, that's just something we struggle with as humans laziness. I think that's a sin that all of us deal with it and 21:26.750 --> 21:29.470 People with character people who get things done 21:29.470 --> 21:35.690 They have to just force themselves to work hard and get things done because the natural tendency is to just 21:36.990 --> 21:40.570 Do nothing.
