06:53.880 --> 06:55.280 Give honor where honors do. 06:55.700 --> 06:56.740 And according to the Bible, 06:56.860 --> 06:59.380 we see that God used them extensively. 06:59.700 --> 07:00.660 He used them greatly 07:00.660 --> 07:02.620 to not only get a bunch of people saved, 07:02.900 --> 07:04.000 to start a bunch of churches, 07:04.220 --> 07:08.180 but also to pen down a large portion of the New Testament. 07:09.000 --> 07:09.440 And look, folks, 07:09.760 --> 07:12.520 you can do a study on the epistles of Paul 07:12.520 --> 07:13.820 in comparison to the Gospels, 07:13.980 --> 07:15.020 and they line up perfectly. 07:15.240 --> 07:16.420 And you know what's great about that? 07:16.720 --> 07:18.980 Is the fact that the Gospels, 07:19.080 --> 07:20.120 Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, 07:20.360 --> 07:21.300 were actually written. 07:21.560 --> 07:22.620 We're talking about pen down 07:23.130 --> 07:25.620 well after the apostles of Paul were written down. 07:26.740 --> 07:29.300 So the epistles of Paul were some of the first 07:29.300 --> 07:31.920 writings of the New Testament to be written down. 07:32.440 --> 07:33.560 And then years later, 07:33.840 --> 07:34.840 the Gospels were written down. 07:34.940 --> 07:36.360 Even though the Gospels 07:36.360 --> 07:38.020 highlight events that took place 07:38.020 --> 07:39.320 prior to the apostle Paul. 07:39.700 --> 07:40.980 You say, what's the significance of that? 07:48.020 --> 07:49.640 It tells me that the Bible tells, 07:49.760 --> 07:50.480 what the Bible says, 07:50.760 --> 07:53.520 that all scripture is given by inspiration of God. 07:54.000 --> 07:55.300 It's profitable for doctrine, 07:55.440 --> 07:56.660 for approval, correction, and instruction, 07:57.140 --> 07:57.780 and righteousness, 07:57.780 --> 07:59.300 that no prophecy of the scripture 07:59.300 --> 08:01.240 is of any private interpretation 08:01.240 --> 08:02.640 for holy men of God's sake 08:02.640 --> 08:03.740 as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 08:03.880 --> 08:04.600 The apostle Paul, 08:04.900 --> 08:06.340 he's a great guy, but you know what? 08:06.600 --> 08:08.880 Ultimately, God is the author of the Bible. 08:09.400 --> 08:10.900 He doesn't need to write things 08:10.900 --> 08:12.240 in chronological order 08:12.240 --> 08:13.900 in order for it to make sense 08:13.900 --> 08:15.620 because he can inspire someone 08:15.620 --> 08:16.660 to write these things down 08:16.660 --> 08:18.940 and be accurate about them, okay? 08:43.680 --> 08:45.220 Look at Acts chapter 24, if you would, 08:45.840 --> 08:47.260 in verse number five. 08:47.840 --> 08:49.020 Acts 24, verse five says, 08:49.140 --> 08:50.400 for we have found this man, 08:50.580 --> 08:51.320 referring to Paul, 08:51.740 --> 08:53.020 a pestilent fellow 08:53.820 --> 08:55.860 and a mover of sedition 08:56.320 --> 08:58.400 among all the Jews throughout the world 08:58.400 --> 09:02.320 and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes 09:02.320 --> 09:04.940 who also had gone about to profane the temple 09:05.260 --> 09:06.100 whom we took 09:06.100 --> 09:09.020 and would have judged according to our law. 09:09.160 --> 09:10.960 Now, this is one of many examples 09:10.960 --> 09:13.340 where people were attacking Paul 09:13.340 --> 09:15.680 saying that he was preaching heresy. 09:15.980 --> 09:17.620 He was trying to get people to deviate 09:17.620 --> 09:18.600 from the law of Moses. 09:18.880 --> 09:19.880 He's a ringleader. 09:19.980 --> 09:21.060 He's a pestilent fellow. 09:21.280 --> 09:22.180 He's a heretic. 09:22.180 --> 09:23.700 People wanted to kill him. 09:23.940 --> 09:25.400 And what is this proof of? 09:25.520 --> 09:26.580 Is it proof that he's a heretic? 09:26.920 --> 09:28.760 No, it's proof that all that will live godly 09:28.760 --> 09:29.700 in Christ Jesus 09:29.700 --> 09:31.000 shall suffer persecution. 09:32.360 --> 09:33.920 And look, folks, there's a difference between 09:33.920 --> 09:35.920 being persecuted for things 09:35.920 --> 09:37.960 that you're preaching that doesn't line up 09:37.960 --> 09:38.380 with the Bible 09:39.040 --> 09:40.540 and being persecuted for things 09:40.540 --> 09:41.700 that do line up with the Bible. 09:42.060 --> 09:42.740 You see, what's the difference? 10:28.060 --> 10:28.540 Now let me say this. 10:28.580 --> 10:29.380 This is a part one. 10:29.860 --> 10:30.740 Part two is going to be tonight 10:30.740 --> 10:32.460 because there's so many accusations 10:32.460 --> 10:34.400 against Paul from this guy 10:34.400 --> 10:35.580 that I'm going to preach 10:35.580 --> 10:37.140 the second half tonight. 10:37.360 --> 10:38.000 Number one is that 10:38.000 --> 10:39.420 Paul contradicted Jesus 10:40.600 --> 10:41.480 concerning salvation. 10:42.360 --> 10:43.580 Paul contradicted Jesus 10:43.580 --> 10:44.580 concerning salvation. 10:45.040 --> 10:46.440 Jesus taught salvation 10:46.440 --> 10:47.420 through good works 10:48.520 --> 10:50.180 and keeping the commandments 10:50.180 --> 10:52.560 whereas Paul introduced justification 10:52.560 --> 10:55.160 by faith without works. 10:55.860 --> 10:56.840 Now what's interesting about this 10:56.840 --> 10:58.580 is this guy is promoting this like crazy. 10:58.700 --> 11:00.520 He's like Jesus taught 11:00.520 --> 11:01.700 you have to keep the commandments 11:01.700 --> 11:03.060 in order to be saved. 11:03.160 --> 11:05.360 The apostle Paul did not teach that. 11:05.820 --> 11:07.420 Now those who teach a workspace 11:07.420 --> 11:09.400 salvation within mainstream Christianity 11:09.400 --> 11:10.360 just have to know 11:10.360 --> 11:12.360 you associate with people like that. 11:13.020 --> 11:15.320 You associate with the astral projection 11:15.320 --> 11:16.920 group out there 11:16.920 --> 11:19.120 that believes that salvation 11:19.120 --> 11:20.260 is by works 11:20.260 --> 11:22.300 and it's by keeping of the 11:22.300 --> 11:23.240 mosaic commandments. 11:24.620 --> 11:25.560 That's what it is. 11:26.000 --> 11:26.220 Why? 12:25.560 --> 12:27.060 He said that's a slanderous report 12:27.960 --> 12:29.840 because the Bible simply teaches 12:29.840 --> 12:30.960 that yes we're saved 12:30.960 --> 12:32.380 despite the fact that we're sinners 12:32.380 --> 12:34.480 despite the fact that we are encapsulated 12:34.480 --> 12:35.560 by the corruptible body 12:35.960 --> 12:37.120 but the Bible also teaches 12:37.120 --> 12:38.800 that there's consequences to our sin 12:38.800 --> 12:39.940 here in this world. 12:40.460 --> 12:41.520 So the Bible says 12:41.520 --> 12:43.820 whom the Lord loveth he chastened it 12:43.820 --> 12:45.660 and scourged it every son whom he received it. 12:45.680 --> 12:46.840 That's what the Bible tells us, right?
