--> 00:09.260 for the nation of Israel 00:09.700 --> 00:11.860 and specifically in the city of Jerusalem. 00:12.480 --> 00:15.140 We're seeing the curses of God played out 00:15.140 --> 00:17.940 here in this nation. 00:18.440 --> 00:21.340 And at the end of this particular chapter, 00:21.480 --> 00:23.920 we have just kind of a crazy story 00:24.520 --> 00:27.760 that is very grievous to read in the Bible. 00:27.760 --> 00:29.180 But this does happen. 00:29.400 --> 00:31.500 And if we look back at verse 26, 00:31.640 --> 00:34.280 it says in the king of Israel is passing by upon the wall, 00:34.660 --> 00:36.440 there cried a woman unto him saying, 00:36.520 --> 00:38.360 help my Lord, O king. 00:39.280 --> 00:41.260 And he said, if the Lord do not help thee, 00:41.400 --> 00:42.460 when shall I help thee? 00:42.920 --> 00:45.100 Out of the barn floor or out of the wine press 00:45.100 --> 00:47.340 and the king said unto her, what aleeth thee? 00:47.460 --> 00:49.220 And she answered, the woman said unto me, 00:49.980 --> 00:53.380 give thy son that we may eat him today 00:53.380 --> 00:55.880 and we will eat my son tomorrow. 00:55.880 --> 00:58.100 So he boiled my son and did eat him 00:58.100 --> 01:00.160 and I said unto her on the next day, 01:00.540 --> 01:02.140 give thy son that we may eat him 01:02.140 --> 01:03.660 and she hath hit her son. 01:04.300 --> 01:06.900 Now, this is a crazy story 01:07.440 --> 01:10.480 and I wanna make it clear that what the Bible is saying here, 01:10.540 --> 01:12.240 this is not a normal thing, of course. 01:12.800 --> 01:16.560 These people are going through extreme starvation, 01:18.460 --> 01:20.300 extreme war and siege. 01:20.580 --> 01:22.260 They're being besieged by an enemy 01:22.260 --> 01:24.280 and so all the foods ran out, 01:24.280 --> 01:27.460 all the famine that's plaguing them 01:27.460 --> 01:29.740 is causing them to go crazy 01:30.190 --> 01:32.320 and to have horrific thoughts 01:32.320 --> 01:34.640 that would normally never happen to anyone 01:34.640 --> 01:37.900 but just through the extreme circumstances, 01:38.220 --> 01:39.580 they've gotten to a place 01:39.580 --> 01:44.260 where they're not only cannibalizing people in their society, 01:44.360 --> 01:45.920 they're cannibalizing their own children 01:46.450 --> 01:49.700 which kind of seems like an unimaginable thing 01:50.510 --> 01:53.040 but it is something where if you pushed people 01:53.040 --> 01:55.640 to a specific degree they could get to this place 01:56.080 --> 01:58.000 but the Bible is basically describing 01:58.000 --> 01:59.640 what the Bible calls a curse. 01:59.920 --> 02:03.260 This is a curse that has happened to Jerusalem specifically 02:03.260 --> 02:06.220 and God is cursing the children of Israel 02:06.220 --> 02:08.340 for having turned away from his commandments 02:08.340 --> 02:11.100 and having been rebellious against God, 02:11.500 --> 02:14.220 going into all kinds of fornication and adultery 02:14.220 --> 02:17.980 and idolatry and just innocent blood being shed 02:17.980 --> 02:21.220 and just so much oppression and just all this evil 02:21.220 --> 02:23.400 just worshiping false gods 02:23.400 --> 02:27.600 and going after Baal which is representative of Satan, 02:28.220 --> 02:29.840 going after all this evil 02:30.440 --> 02:32.920 has caused God to plague them 02:32.920 --> 02:34.680 and to bring curses upon them 02:34.680 --> 02:39.600 so much so that the women are cannibalizing their own children 02:39.600 --> 02:40.880 and this is what's crazy 02:40.880 --> 02:42.860 is she asked the king to help her. 02:43.240 --> 02:45.080 Now what is she asking for though? 02:45.160 --> 02:46.660 She's not asking for food, 02:47.160 --> 02:49.360 she's not asking for some kind of substance, 02:49.360 --> 02:52.840 she's asking can we please kill another child and eat him? 02:53.140 --> 02:54.500 That is what her request is. 02:54.580 --> 02:55.900 She's saying hey please help me 02:55.900 --> 02:58.360 because we already killed my child and ate it, 02:58.620 --> 03:00.640 now I wanna kill this other woman's child 03:00.640 --> 03:02.040 and I wanna eat it. 03:02.580 --> 03:07.280 And you can kind of see at least the one woman, 03:08.440 --> 03:11.380 one woman killed her own son and ate it, 03:11.900 --> 03:15.260 the other woman was willing to eat someone else's son 03:15.710 --> 03:18.060 but then I guess she has at least a little bit 03:18.060 --> 03:20.440 of remorse or a little bit, 03:20.880 --> 03:22.260 maybe she was just being deceptive 03:22.260 --> 03:23.620 or perhaps was more remorse, 03:23.780 --> 03:25.640 she's not willing to actually kill her own son 03:25.640 --> 03:27.660 so even in this extreme circumstance 03:27.660 --> 03:30.420 not every woman is willing to go down this path 03:30.420 --> 03:32.360 but we do see at least one of them 03:32.360 --> 03:34.460 is willing to harm their own children 03:34.460 --> 03:36.660 and other children and just kind of gone down 03:36.660 --> 03:37.720 this really dark path 03:38.260 --> 03:42.100 but this is a fulfillment of Deuteronomy 28 03:42.100 --> 03:44.840 and let's go there into the back of your Bible 03:44.840 --> 03:47.020 or the beginning I guess I could say 03:47.020 --> 03:49.000 to the Old Testament law 03:49.000 --> 03:50.280 and look at Deuteronomy 28 03:50.280 --> 03:53.580 which is a pretty famous section of scripture, 03:54.180 --> 03:56.760 it's describing what God will do 03:56.760 --> 03:58.240 if you follow the commandments 03:58.240 --> 04:00.420 and what will happen if you don't follow the commandments 04:00.420 --> 04:02.340 and the first section of Deuteronomy 28 04:02.340 --> 04:03.240 is giving all the blessings 04:03.240 --> 04:04.540 that God's gonna bless them greatly 04:04.540 --> 04:05.600 and multiply them 04:05.600 --> 04:07.360 and things are gonna go well with them 04:08.000 --> 04:09.780 but if they don't harken 04:09.780 --> 04:11.540 he says he's going to curse them 04:11.540 --> 04:12.520 and I want you to notice 04:12.520 --> 04:14.140 we're gonna just look at a few verses 04:14.140 --> 04:15.080 look at verse 15 04:15.080 --> 04:16.520 but it shall come to pass 04:16.520 --> 04:17.820 if that will not harken 04:18.340 --> 04:20.020 under the voice of the Lord thy God 04:20.020 --> 04:21.620 to observe to do all his commandments 04:21.620 --> 04:23.540 and his statutes which I command thee this day 04:23.540 --> 04:27.240 that all these curses shall come upon thee 04:27.960 --> 04:28.940 and overtake thee 04:28.940 --> 04:30.260 and then it just lists 04:30.260 --> 04:33.120 I mean you can just look at verses 16, 17, 18, 19 04:33.120 --> 04:34.420 just starts with the word cursed 04:34.420 --> 04:36.400 just cursed shall thou be in the city 04:36.400 --> 04:37.900 and cursed thy basket 04:37.900 --> 04:39.140 and cursed the fruit of thy body 04:39.140 --> 04:40.400 and cursed and it's just 04:40.400 --> 04:43.120 I mean this is a long chapter of the Bible 04:43.120 --> 04:45.340 just saying how many ways they're gonna be cursed 04:45.880 --> 04:46.700 cursed of God 04:47.220 --> 04:49.020 and if you go all the way towards the end 04:49.020 --> 04:50.440 of the curses in verse 56 04:50.440 --> 04:52.060 the Bible says the tender 04:52.060 --> 04:53.540 and delicate woman among you 04:54.160 --> 04:55.480 which would not adventure 04:55.480 --> 04:56.960 to set the soul of her foot 04:57.520 --> 04:59.400 upon the ground for delicateness 04:59.400 --> 05:03.260 and tenderness her eye shall be evil 05:03.260 --> 05:05.260 toward the husband of her bosom 05:05.260 --> 05:06.680 and toward her son 05:07.100 --> 05:08.160 and toward her daughter 05:08.680 --> 05:10.020 and toward her young one 05:10.020 --> 05:12.240 that cometh out from between her feet 05:12.240 --> 05:13.620 and toward her children 05:13.620 --> 05:14.580 which she shall about this particular individual 05:37.740 --> 05:40.360 maybe she was a nice person 05:40.360 --> 05:41.380 in her upbringing 05:41.380 --> 05:44.140 but she's gonna her heart 05:44.140 --> 05:45.920 and her mind is gonna be evil affected 05:45.920 --> 05:47.520 towards her children 05:47.520 --> 05:49.200 and not just her children 05:49.200 --> 05:50.600 it says her infants 05:50.600 --> 05:52.340 because it's like talking about the one 05:52.340 --> 05:54.180 that just came out between her feet 05:54.180 --> 05:55.340 it's just like hey 05:55.340 --> 05:56.900 her older children 05:56.900 --> 05:57.680 her younger children 05:57.680 --> 05:59.260 even infants so much so 05:59.860 --> 06:01.900 that she is going to eat them 06:01.900 --> 06:03.400 and this is a curse 06:03.940 --> 06:05.500 so we can't sit here 06:05.500 --> 06:08.360 and just blame something else 06:08.360 --> 06:10.160 because the Bible is making it clear 06:10.160 --> 06:12.260 this is God cursing the children of Israel 06:12.260 --> 06:14.260 this is a curse upon a nation 06:14.260 --> 06:16.940 when you see this kind of thing happening 06:16.940 --> 06:18.620 where women are killing 06:18.620 --> 06:20.340 and slaughtering their own children 06:20.340 --> 06:23.920 in such an extreme and grotesque way 06:23.920 --> 06:25.980 and again this is a horrific story 06:25.980 --> 06:27.420 it says in verse 58 06:27.420 --> 06:28.700 if thou will not observe 06:29.120 --> 06:30.800 to do all the words of this law 06:30.800 --> 06:31.720 that are written in this book 06:31.720 --> 06:33.440 that thou mayest fear this glorious 06:33.440 --> 06:35.040 and fearful name the Lord thy God 06:35.040 --> 06:37.160 you should be afraid of God 06:37.880 --> 06:39.300 when you see women 06:39.300 --> 06:40.860 doing these horrific acts 06:41.280 --> 06:42.760 because you just see how God 06:42.760 --> 06:44.440 is punishing and cursing a nation 06:44.920 --> 06:46.440 for doing likewise 06:46.440 --> 06:48.120 and you know while 06:48.620 --> 06:49.600 you know America 06:50.520 --> 06:52.780 specifically is not the nation of Israel 06:53.380 --> 06:55.820 America is not going through 06:55.820 --> 06:57.380 the exact same circumstances 06:57.380 --> 06:59.060 that the children of Israel are 06:59.060 --> 07:01.200 because we are not going through a siege 07:01.600 --> 07:03.440 we're not going through extreme warfare 07:03.440 --> 07:04.320 and famine 07:04.980 --> 07:07.780 but I feel like we can see through the text 07:07.780 --> 07:09.620 similar parallels where 07:09.620 --> 07:11.340 God is cursing America 07:12.030 --> 07:14.640 and that there is a curse on America right now 07:14.640 --> 07:16.640 in this particular category 07:16.640 --> 07:17.780 in this particular way 07:18.540 --> 07:20.100 and you know that's kind of where I've gotten 07:20.100 --> 07:21.520 the title of my sermon this morning 07:22.010 --> 07:24.700 and I'm linking it to a specific event 07:25.250 --> 07:27.260 but it's not just only about this event 07:27.260 --> 07:28.860 and so the title of my sermon this morning 07:28.860 --> 07:30.500 is the curse of Lindsey Clancy 07:31.540 --> 07:33.020 and here's the thing 07:33.020 --> 07:36.220 why bring up that particular name 07:36.220 --> 07:37.560 or this particular court case 07:37.560 --> 07:38.260 that's recently happened 07:38.260 --> 07:39.340 well here's the thing 07:39.340 --> 07:41.540 it's kind of gathered national tension 07:41.540 --> 07:43.000 I mean who in here would say 07:43.000 --> 07:45.040 I have no idea who Lindsey Clancy is? 07:46.280 --> 07:48.180 Yeah I mean that's why I'm bringing it up 07:48.180 --> 07:50.640 okay because virtually everyone has heard about this 07:50.640 --> 07:52.640 and it's been a big deal 07:52.640 --> 07:55.500 social media is going crazy 07:55.500 --> 07:56.700 on this particular issue 07:57.200 --> 07:59.400 this has been a major event 07:59.400 --> 08:02.100 it almost seems like more attention 08:02.620 --> 08:05.000 on this than Charlie Kirk being killed 08:05.000 --> 08:06.800 or being you know assassinated 08:06.800 --> 08:09.200 and I say that because 08:09.760 --> 08:11.860 just of how many people this is affecting 08:12.410 --> 08:13.440 and again Charlie Kirk 08:13.440 --> 08:15.220 I feel like affected the whole nation too 08:15.220 --> 08:16.880 I can't even say that it didn't 08:16.880 --> 08:19.300 but I just I've never seen so many people interested 08:19.300 --> 08:20.340 in something like this 08:20.340 --> 08:22.400 and we've seen just 08:22.400 --> 08:25.580 kind of the grotesque state of our culture 08:25.580 --> 08:26.420 and our nation 08:26.990 --> 08:28.800 in response to this by and large 08:29.980 --> 08:32.720 you know unfortunately there was another woman 08:33.420 --> 08:35.140 on September 1st 08:35.140 --> 08:36.720 that killed one of her children 08:37.240 --> 08:40.120 and it suggested that she may have even been a copycat 08:40.680 --> 08:43.780 but let's say she wasn't a copycat killer 08:44.660 --> 08:46.140 then it doesn't really matter 08:46.140 --> 08:47.400 because we're just still seeing 08:47.400 --> 08:49.700 women slaughtering their own children 08:50.520 --> 08:52.000 and it's not making sense 08:53.060 --> 08:55.700 you know in America in the last few years 08:55.700 --> 08:57.720 around 2,000 children 08:58.080 --> 09:00.420 are being killed by their parents 09:00.420 --> 09:02.140 either like purposefully 09:02.140 --> 09:04.180 or through like extreme neglect 09:04.840 --> 09:07.120 and then you know the categories 09:07.760 --> 09:09.700 when it's just the mom doing it 09:09.700 --> 09:12.160 it's like 456 09:12.720 --> 09:14.020 whereas if it's just the dad 09:14.020 --> 09:15.300 it's 197 09:16.120 --> 09:18.960 meaning that the mothers are two and a half times 09:18.960 --> 09:21.020 more likely to kill their own children 09:21.600 --> 09:23.880 by the statistics in America right now 09:23.880 --> 09:25.740 and so this is a big issue 09:25.740 --> 09:26.680 and it's not to say that 09:26.680 --> 09:28.940 it's not a women versus men issue 09:29.840 --> 09:31.140 obviously there's bad men 09:31.140 --> 09:32.520 just like there's bad women 09:32.520 --> 09:34.380 but we're seeing just parents 09:34.380 --> 09:35.820 being turned against their children 09:36.540 --> 09:37.740 when it was both parents 09:37.740 --> 09:40.720 it's 322 slaughtering 09:40.720 --> 09:42.460 so you know in a sense 09:43.080 --> 09:45.100 there's a lot of just death 09:45.100 --> 09:46.040 and innocent blood 09:47.080 --> 09:48.840 but you know 2,000 09:48.840 --> 09:50.380 pales in comparison 09:50.980 --> 09:52.940 to what is happening in America right now 09:52.940 --> 09:56.340 which is still about one million abortions every year 09:56.340 --> 09:59.000 and since Roe v. Wade 09:59.000 --> 10:00.960 which I think in 1972 10:01.520 --> 10:02.880 it's around that time 10:03.420 --> 10:04.620 since that period of time 10:04.620 --> 10:07.820 we've had 67 million abortions 10:08.800 --> 10:09.920 that's a lot of blood 10:10.560 --> 10:12.220 that's a lot of blood shed 10:12.660 --> 10:15.320 that has been slaughtered in America 10:16.180 --> 10:17.580 and in fact you know 10:17.580 --> 10:19.460 when I was looking at these specific statistics 10:19.460 --> 10:22.540 of parents slaughtering their children 10:22.540 --> 10:23.920 or women slaughtering their children 10:23.920 --> 10:26.240 and you compare America 10:26.630 --> 10:29.080 to other developed countries in the world 10:29.790 --> 10:32.800 America is nine times more likely 10:33.130 --> 10:35.340 for the parents to be slaughtering their children right now 10:36.370 --> 10:38.060 so you know when I'm saying like 10:38.060 --> 10:39.660 hey this curse of Lindsay Clancy 10:40.010 --> 10:42.660 I'm not just trying to take one particular event 10:43.050 --> 10:45.560 and one particular woman and say 10:45.560 --> 10:47.920 hey are countries bad because of one person 10:47.920 --> 10:51.180 no there's a lot of people that are responsible 10:51.790 --> 10:53.440 and I don't even think God 10:53.440 --> 10:54.700 if you read the Bible carefully 10:54.700 --> 10:56.960 is mad at a nation for having a killer 10:57.420 --> 10:58.660 or for having bad people 10:58.660 --> 11:01.060 it's that the bad people are not dealt with properly 11:01.060 --> 11:02.660 then God gets mad at 11:03.260 --> 11:04.660 when there's innocent blood shed 11:04.660 --> 11:07.680 and then it's not dealt with appropriately 11:07.680 --> 11:10.660 and there's not a justice that's been served 11:10.660 --> 11:12.880 then God is gonna hold that innocent blood 11:12.880 --> 11:15.200 the guilt of that on that nation 11:15.200 --> 11:16.960 and on that group of people 11:16.960 --> 11:19.120 and what we see in America right now 11:19.120 --> 11:21.080 is we see our country as being cursed 11:21.080 --> 11:22.940 because we're not dealing with these issues 11:23.520 --> 11:25.600 we have 67 million abortions 11:25.600 --> 11:27.480 and there's been no justice served 11:27.940 --> 11:31.000 there was three children slaughtered by Lindsay Clancy 11:31.000 --> 11:34.140 and so far there's been no justice served 11:34.140 --> 11:37.280 she was recently in a court hearing 11:37.280 --> 11:39.160 where it's been declared a mistrial 11:39.880 --> 11:42.560 which you know again I'm not a legal expert 11:42.560 --> 11:44.060 I'm not gonna pretend to be one 11:44.540 --> 11:46.380 but based on the facts of the case 11:46.680 --> 11:51.060 I think it's suggested that 11 of the 12 jurors 11:51.060 --> 11:56.920 were going to potentially declare her insane or something 11:56.920 --> 11:59.340 and say that she's not guilty of homicide 11:59.340 --> 12:01.580 and I don't know what the ramifications of that would be 12:01.580 --> 12:04.620 but because of this you know the chances of her 12:04.620 --> 12:08.700 going down a new trial and being found guilty 12:09.140 --> 12:12.140 is pretty much just statistically impossible at this point 12:12.140 --> 12:15.920 because if only one out of 12 people were gonna convict her 12:15.920 --> 12:19.040 the chances of you then statistically getting 12 people 12:19.040 --> 12:20.380 that would all agree to that 12:20.380 --> 12:22.860 and considering how much media attention 12:22.860 --> 12:23.880 this case has gotten 12:23.880 --> 12:26.500 I mean the chances of not having just one jury 12:26.900 --> 12:28.960 or one juror hung up on this 12:28.960 --> 12:31.100 is just basically a statistical zero 12:31.620 --> 12:34.740 and so by and large you know this is my projection 12:35.300 --> 12:37.300 my belief is they'll probably settle 12:37.700 --> 12:40.100 or they'll probably you know try to have some kind 12:40.100 --> 12:41.400 of a plea bargain or something 12:41.400 --> 12:43.180 who knows what's gonna actually happen 12:43.180 --> 12:44.000 I have no idea 12:44.000 --> 12:46.820 but it does not appear that these three children 12:47.200 --> 12:48.960 that have been slaughtered are gonna receive justice 12:49.780 --> 12:51.420 and you know that's a curse on our nation 12:52.200 --> 12:54.260 when people are slaughtering their children 12:55.100 --> 12:57.380 and there's no justice served 12:57.380 --> 12:59.480 that people are not caring 12:59.480 --> 13:02.440 you know we're all the
